FAQ’s

1. Submit our custom art inquiry form. You will be able to describe the artwork you want and upload one or more reference images (see Photo tips below). You will receive an instant estimate so you will know upfront if our price is within your budget. When we receive your inquiry and reference photos, we will contact you with a sketch and price confirmation. No obligation.

2. If the price is within your budget, you like our style and you decide to commission the custom art, simply email us of your intentions. You may pay the 50% deposit via Credit Card, Paypal or Zelle.

4. When we receive your order including the reference photo(s) and deposit, we place your custom art order on our schedule. We work on a first come first served basis and will notify you of an estimate delivery date.

5. When we are finished and you have approved the art, your custom art will be shipped USP or FedEx for you and your family to enjoyl for years to come.

While we may use digital software such as Photoshop to manipulate the reference photos, the finished work of art will be created using techniques similar to the old masters. We paint using oil, acrylic and watercolor paints.

There are several factors that we consider when we set our prices. While each custom artwork is unique, this list is the base considerations we use when setting prices.

Photo tips:

  • Photos may be uploaded using our artwork quote form or emailed to info@gagefineart.com.
  • Try to find photos that are focused and high resolution. If we can see good facial detail, we can create our very best portrait or other custom art.
  • For portraits, To help us paint an accurate and flattering portrait, feel free to send lots of reference photos giving us clues about your loved one’s particular features and characteristics.
  • Choose the “Actual Size” setting when emailing from an iPhone or “Original Size” when emailing from an Android.
  • For the best resolution, photos you receive from family members should be emailed to you at the above settings, not texted.
  • If sending many reference photos, We can email you a link to our Dropbox folder.
  • Photos taken by professional photographers are welcome and require a release for any copyrighted images.
